WELCOME!

This Clever Crazes for Kids® website (the "website"), sponsored by Building Healthy Lives Foundation, an Ohio nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code, is designed to educate students, parents, guardians, teachers, and program administrators about the core concepts of self-esteem, environmental sustainability, nutrition, and fitness through entertaining and engaging activities. No products or services are offered for sale through the website. From time to time, we award prizes to individuals, schools, home schools, and after-school programs based upon students' participation on the website.

If you are a parent, guardian, teacher, or program administrator, you will be interested to know that we do not seek to collect or request any personal information directly from children. To learn more about our policy regarding the online collection of information from children, we recommend reviewing the Notice to Parents, Guardians, Teachers, and Program Administrators below.

Building Healthy Lives Foundation, the sponsor of this website and the Clever Crazes for Kids®  programs, (sometimes referred to in this Privacy Policy as "We" or "Us") respects the privacy rights of its online visitors and is committed to providing you with a secure online environment. We have adopted an Online Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") that guides how we collect, store, and use the information you provide us online. If you are under the age of 13, your parent, guardian, teacher, or program administrator must read this Privacy Policy with you. We have also provided a Notice to Parents, Guardians, Teachers, and Program Administrators below.

If you have an unresolved privacy or data use concern that we have not addressed satisfactorily, please contact our US-based third party dispute resolution provider (free of charge) at https://feedback-form.truste.com/watchdog/request.

This Privacy Policy only covers information that is collected through this website, CleverCrazes.com, and our mobile applications.  This Privacy Policy applies only to the information that we collect online, not offline.

Please note, also, that this Privacy Policy applies only to the website and mobile applications operated by us from our offices within the State of Ohio, United States of America ("US"), and not to websites operated internationally or by other companies or organizations to which we link. When you link to any other sites from this website, this Privacy Policy no longer applies, and we do not control the activities of those sites. We recommend you review the privacy notices of any linked sites.

What Information Do We Collect?
In order to provide our educational services in a meaningful and useful manner, we may request and/or collect information from you on a voluntary basis when you (as a parent, guardian, teacher, or after-school program administrator, or other official of such program): (1) register with us; (2) participate in contests, events, or promotions; (3) send questions or comments via e-mail to our support center; and/or, (4) fill out online surveys. The requested information may include personal and demographic information such as the child's first name, initial of last name, grade, and school (and the site name, if the child is participating in an after-school program), and the name, e-mail address, and a phone number at which the parent, guardian, teacher, or program administrator who is registering a child may be reached. This additional information is made necessary by an increasing number of invalid e-mail addresses that cannot receive e-mail messages, and therefore cannot be advised of confirmations of registrations, prize winnings, or general information. We also ask for the address of the school, after-school program, or home school program. For some activities, we may also ask you to create a password. The information we collect allows us to tailor the notices we send you and the content we provide you according to your preferences and interests.

When you download and use our services on the website and mobile app, we automatically collect information on the type of device you use and operating system version. We use this information so that we are able to serve you the newest version of the website and so that we are serving the correct version for the device you are using.

We do not ask you for, access, or track any location based information from your mobile device at any time while you are downloading or using our mobile applications or services.

We do not seek to collect or request any personal information from children, including those under the age of 13. Only your parent, guardian, teacher, after-school program administrator, or other official of such organization can provide any information to us about you for purposes of registration and other online activities. Kids, if you are ever unsure about anything you are seeing on this site, ask your parent, guardian, teacher, or program administrator for help. See Notice to Parents, Guardians, Teachers, and Program Administrators below for more information.

Registration
If you are an adult and wish to register, you may be asked to supply personal information such as your full name, e-mail address, and phone number. We may also ask you to provide demographic information, such as your postal code, or demographic information relating to children in your household, your classroom, your home school, or your after-school program, such as grade level, as well as the kids' first names and initial of last name. We also ask for the addresses of schools and home schools, and site names and addresses of the after-school programs. We use such information to periodically contact you with relevant announcements and to improve and tailor our educational materials.

Promotions/Contests
To participate in some of our promotions or contests where prizes can be won by individuals, after-school programs, schools, or home schools, you may be asked to provide your e-mail address, name, your child's first name, initial of last name, grade level, and school so that your child may participate in the contest. This is the means by which we can identify the winning kids and notify the adult(s) who registered them. We will let you know if your child, child's school, home school, or after-school program has won a prize. All promotions on the website are administered by us. Your personal information is not shared with any third parties, except with entities who use it solely to provide support for the operations of the promotion/contest.

E-mail
Should your child, your child's school, home school, or after-school program win a prize, you will be notified by e-mail. By allowing you to send an e-mail response to us or to send any questions or comments to us, we are not attempting to collect any personal information about you. We will only use personal information of parents, guardians, teachers, and program administrators (such as full name, phone number, and e-mail address) contained in your e-mail to respond to your specific inquiry or comments in the e-mail. Although we may retain your e-mail for a period of time, we will not use any personal information contained in your e-mail for any purpose other than responding to your specific inquiry or comments. If you have registered with us and provided your e-mail to us as discussed above, as indicated, we will only use such information as summarized above.

Online Surveys
In order to improve the user experience on our website, we may employ online surveys for visitors to volunteer anonymous demographic information about themselves and provide us feedback about why they visit the website and what we can do to make it better.

Whatever the activity may be, we will only collect information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to fulfill your requests and our legitimate educational objectives. If you do not want to submit personal information when requested, you will not be able to access certain areas on the website.

Who Is Collecting Your Information and How Will It Be Used?
We collect the personal information you provide on the website. We will use the information you submit to our website to send you information, including information about new contests, features and enhancements, and other events of interest, and to respond to your inquiries. We will also use your phone number to contact you if we find that the e-mail address we have for you is not valid since the e-mail address is what we rely upon to communicate registration confirmation, prize winnings, and other general information about the site. We also use your personal information for our demographic studies so we can constantly improve the educational offerings we provide you and can better meet the needs of our audience.

The demographic information (e.g., grade) you provide is collected by us and may be disclosed in aggregate to third parties. This aggregate demographic information cannot be used to personally identify you or your computer.

With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?
We do not currently share users' personal information (including that of children under 13 provided by parents, guardians, teachers, after-school program administrators, or other organization officials) for any purpose. We process all information for the internal operations of the website (e.g., online registration and e-mail services or technical support). If we decide to use any third party vendors, we will take steps to notify you and obtain your consent prior to doing so.

In certain situations, Building Healthy Lives Foundation may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful request by public authorities, including meeting national security or law enforcement requirements.  We may disclose personal information (including that of children under 13 provided by parents, guardians, teachers, or program administrators) in the good faith belief that we are required to do so by law, including, but not limited to, disclosure to law enforcement or other government officials in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, other activity that is illegal or may expose you or us to legal liability, or in response to legal process such as subpoenas. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose personal information collected from and about users (including children under 13) to third parties for promotional purposes. However, in the event of dissolution, donation, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar event, information provided by website users may be transferred to a successor, assignee, or donee, if permitted by and done in accordance with applicable law. Please see our Questions and Complaints section below for instructions on how we will notify you of such an event.

Cookies and Clear GIFs
We and our service provider and website host use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts to analyze trends, administer the website, track users' movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual and aggregated basis. This allows us to make updates to content and improve navigation as appropriate.

Clear GIFs, sometimes called "Web bugs," are file objects, usually a graphic image such as a transparent one pixel-by-one pixel GIF (Graphics Interchange Format, one of the two most common file formats for images on the Web), that are placed on a Web page or in an e-mail message to monitor user behavior. The GIF tells us the IP address of the computer that fetched our page, the URL of the page the GIF is on, the time the page was viewed, the type of browser used, and can tell us a previously set cookie value. This anonymous information is returned by the clear GIF to us and we use this information to accurately count visitors and understand how they navigate and use our network of sites. We do not combine information gathered through clear GIFs with your personal information.

Log Files
Other information passively collected by our website is in the form of logs (files that record website activity and gather statistics about web users' browsing habits). These entries help us determine (among other things) how many and how often users have visited our website, which pages they've visited, and other similar data. We also use the log file entries for our internal demographic studies, so we can constantly improve the online services we provide you. Log files are used internally only and are not associated with any particular user, information, computer, or browser.

We use Local Shared Objects, such as cookies, to store content information and preferences.
